Participants in earlier editions not only hail from host countries, but also from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and even the United Kingdom. The seventh edition of this festival took place from 9th to 13th of July 2014, at the School of the Arts, marks the first time it would be held in Singapore. It attracted close to 2,000 participants from 40 to 50 choirs around the world.
In addition to the choral competition and master classes which are conducted by renowned adjudicators, including Mark Anthony Carpio, Chief Adjudicator in Orientale Concentus and choirmaster of the famous Philippine Madrigal Singers, the festival programme will incorporate community programmes aimed at raising social awareness, developing character and civic mindedness in the youth participants.
