The Mapúa Cardinal Singers (MCS) once again brought pride to the Institute after winning three gold awards in the recently concluded 4th Vietnam International Choir Competition held in the province of Hội An, Vietnam.
The chorale group gave impressive renditions of Salidummay and Bomala ka ay Bowan (B. Constantino Jr.), and Pagtulog na Nene (Arwin Tan) in the Folklore category. For the Mixed Open Category, they sang Jubilate Deo (O. di Lassus), Everytime I Feel the Spirit (William Dawson), Pater Noster (J.A. Pamintuan), and Itako Mangkaykaysa (R. Lijauco, Jr.). The group rendered a repertoire of Exultate Deo (A. Scarlatti), Ama Namin (J.A. Pamintuan), and Alleluia (L.F. Delgado) for the Sacred category.
The MCS is one of the eight Filipino choirs who joined in the said competition wherein more than 1,500 artists from 15 countries all over the world participate every year.
